The Secretary, Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi declared open CSD Apparels Centreat the invitation of the Director General, CSD Mr.Chandrarathne Pallegama on 03rd April 2016 in Rambewa.

This fully pledged state of art CSD Apparels Centre will facilitate tailoring of the uniforms of the 40,000 members of the CSD.The Additional Director General, Rear Admiral Shemal Fernando and senior officers of the CSD were present.

The Commanding Officer Anuradhapura Force hq sphere headed the project which will immensely contribute towards uplifting the quality of uniforms in the CSD.

The Director General of the Civil Security Department, Mr. Chandrarathne Pallegama attended the 3rd Anniversary of the founding of Monaragala Force Hq on 11th March 2016 and graced the opening of the newly built Holiday Bungalow in Monaragala and declared opened Pre-childhood Development Centre in Weheragoda.

In aid of the Welfare Fund of the Civil Security Department a Colourful musical show was held on 26th march 2016 at Mahasen M.M.V in Rajanganaya with the  Director General, CSD Mr. Chandrarathne Pallegama gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The leading Sri Lankan artists such as Saman de Silva, Danapala Udawatte, Ishaq Beg, Sanka Dineth, Shashikala Nisansala, Supriya Abeysekara, Suresh Gamage and Ginger entertained the gathering.

Mr. Chandrarathne Pallegama, the Director General of the Civil Security Department recently took part in Harvesting the Crops in the battalions of the North and in a series of activities that included laying of the foundation stone for the Nagatambiran Kovil and declare opening of Gana Devi Kovil in Mullaitivu.
